I created the Firefighter Furnace HERO Elite Training Program to do my part in eliminating the growing issue of heart disease and obesity within our firefighter community.
Our goal is to help anyone who struggles with weight, body fat, strength and performance by giving you the only tool you need to reach elite firefighter fitness.
HERO Elite was not designed to help you reach a small goal just for you to go right back into the same routine. Our mission is to provide you with an advanced firefighter training program that wont only help you with on-scene performance but with help pave the way for complete health and wellness.

My first year at the dept. was a tough one, I took on my probationary tasks (hands on skills, training, station chores, etc.), EMT classes, and taking care of my kids. It finally got to the point where I found myself battling stress and depression. I wasn’t exercising as much, I was tired, sluggish, with no motivation and eventually started affecting my work. I had come across the firefighter furnace on Facebook a few times and thought maybe I should look into it but never did, I just made excuses for myself not to. It wasn’t until I started realize it was beginning to affect my kids that I knew something had to change so I went into the site and registered. In the beginning it was tough. I made it through 2 consecutive workouts and my body was so sore I couldn’t finish out the remaining 2. Over time I was finally able complete the week. I could feel myself getting stronger, I had more energy and more motivation. Some days I’d have to improvise because I didn’t have the equipment or because I had my kids but I made sure to at least do something. It’s an excellent program and it not only helped me physically but also helped me face my depression.
Completing a 12 cycle has helped me shed the fat I needed to lose and increased my endurance. The workouts have really helped me get stronger also. I really enjoy the stretches you send along with the videos. Years of knee and shoulder pain are slowly going away. Breaking up the cardio with weight lifting, core and bodyweight exercises keep it challenging but fun. So overall Firefighter Furnace has helped me get in the best shape of my life.
When I started hero elite I wasn’t close to the shape I needed to be in. With the style of mixing cardio and strength I was able to improve immensely and quickly! Quickly building strength and cardio capacity I’m now able to put in stronger and longer work on the fireground.
What Makes HERO Elite Different?
I understand what kind of strength and endurance it takes to be a firefighter. I incorporated different exercises that will not only help you with on-scene performance but pave the way to improving your quality of life. What is more important in terms of firefighter fitness, curling a 45lb dumbbell or being able to carry a 45lb 1/2 mile? Each member of your department will receive their own access code so everyone can view the program on any device!
We also utilize 12-week cycles where we test, improve and measure performance showing you proof that HERO Elite is a solid tool for your organizations health and wellness success.
What Equipment Will I Need?
We don’t use machines, we build them. That being said, the only equipment you will need it a barbell, weights, dumbbells, a bench, a place to run and do pull ups. The basics are the basics for a reason, they work. We also understand that not all fire departments have every piece of equipment out there. You can train together while on duty and individually while off shift
What If I Don't Have Time?
You have to make fitness a priority if you want to become a more effective firefighter for your community. That being said, we also understand that it takes time and commitment. We post our workouts a week in advance so you can modify your training schedule around your unique schedule. We understand everyone’s schedule is different, that’s why we made it easy to follow so you don’t miss a session.
What Fitness Level Do I Need To Be In?
All levels of fitness are welcome to HERO Elite. You are able to modify weight and scale reps as needed and still get the same level of intensity required to improve. On top of that, we have two mobility routines a week designed to help you with areas you struggle with such as squat depth or knee and shoulder pain. Work together as a team to boost both camaraderie and performance within your organization.
In order to succeed, you must challenge yourself every single day. Focus on one workout at a time and stay consistent. That is where the results will come from.
Remember, it doesn’t matter where you started, it’s where you’re going that’s important.
